Bugaboo Pushchairs
Bugaboo is an American brand of pushchair retailers with a roll call of celebrities as long as your arm. Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon and and Gwen Stefani have all been seen parading these ultra-modern, minimalist buggies – and for the moderately reasonable sum of around £700 you can too.
Bugaboo have three designs available in the UK so far – the Cameleon, the Gecko and the Bee; there’s also the Frog, currently only available in the US, but several retailers offer international delivery if you’re dead set on one.
Each design offers variations of practicality, versatility, and accessories, depending on your needs and budget.

The Cameleon
The Cameleon is the most popular of Bugaboo's buggies, effortlessly combining style and practicality. It comes with several useful features such as 2-piece folding, all-terrain wheels and a massive 24l of storage space. The Cameleon also comes with an incredibly ingenious design function: conversion to a 2-wheeled 'pullchair' that can fallow you wherever you go - ideal for beach or snow setting.
The Cameleon also comes in a vast range of colour combinations to suit any fashion-conscious parent, and is completely adaptable with Maxi Cosi car seats and Bugaboo pram bodies for parents who prefer a modern twist on the traditional look.
What the Gecko WILL do is get your baby to the shops, to the nursery, to your parents' house for baby-sitting duty on a Friday night. It'll get them, and all their accoutrements, around the park without getting stuck in the mud. It'll fit in the boot of your car without batting an eye, and whether your child prefers facing forwards or backwards, it'll adapt without question.
Of course, as with all Bugaboo products it comes in a startlingly colourful range of shades (bold, bright tones are a Bugaboo mainstay) and it's got a respectable range of accessories, if you find the Gecko a bit too slimmed-down for your lifestyle.

The Gecko
The Gecko is Bugaboo's most minimalist design, paring down all the unnecessary add-ons and fripperies until you're left with the essential heart of what it is to be a buggy. This no-nonsense approach makes the Gecko one of the easiest buggies to use (no fiddly bits or awkward attachments) and also one of the most practical. Sure, it's not likely to get your baby to the top of Kilimanjaro, but frankly if you're the kind of parent who wants that sort of buggy, you've come to the wrong place. What the Gecko WILL do is get your baby to the shops, to the nursery, to your parents' house for baby-sitting duty on a Friday night. The Bee
The Bee (so-called for its classic yellow design and slight resemblance to a squat, yet chirpy, bumblebee) is one of the lightest buggies on the market, weighing in at just 8.5kg (minus baby, of course). It's also one of the most versatile, with adjustable everything: handlebars, seat positions and braking. It comes with 4-wheel independent suspension for the smoothest ride of your baby's life (even on country walks, which is a definite added bonus), as well as compact storage and compatibility with Maxi Cosi car seats. Add to this the standard stunning range of Bugaboo colour schemes, and you're onto a winner. Perfect for parents with a varied lifestyle, or an adventurous streak.
The Frog
Currently only available in the US, the Frog is nevertheless the most famous of the Bugaboo pushchairs, being the style favoured by several top celebs on either side of the Atlantic. It's similar to the Gecko in concept (both share that slimline buggy look) but it throws the Cameleon's 'pullchair' design into the mix - a tempting combination. Three-position reclining seats, swivel-wheels and compact folding are also on the menu, making this a delicious treat in any colour (there are several to choose from). Its absence from British culture is nothing short of a tragedy - but there are always the three other fabulous Bugaboo pushchairs to choose from, so we're sure you won't be disappointed.
